In the first months of 2008, skydivers Wesly and Geert started thinking about forming a new and ambitious Belgian 4-way team. Selecting two other team members and a camera flyer became there first priority. In February Wesly walked up to veteran skydiver and FS camera flyer Marc " Skywolf " (Noelske) and asked him if he wanted to become the teams regular videographer. Noelske accepted on his own terms. If Wesly could get Anke and Luuk on the team than he would be happy to commit himself.
For Luuk FS at that time was secondary, focussing mainly on canopy piloting so it took a while before Wesly and Noelske got him on board and he joined the line up. Getting Anke on board the second challenge because of the limited time she could spent on the team. Ambitions among the line up were high. This meant less jumping for fun and more jumping for good results. Because of her personal position and views on skydiving the team parted with her without hard feelings. Resulting in that we were still on the lookout for one more ambitious member to join our team named "Skywolfs Cubs".
The season progressed, competitions came near and we were still one member to short. The slow pace affected Luuk's enthusiasm and he decided to focus on canopy piloting again and to leave the team, leaving the original founders Wesly and Geert without there outside center and videographer. However Luuk would still join them together with random member Edith in the upcoming Belgian nationals with Paul doing the camera flying. The team participated in the rookie class under the name "Off Heading". After the competition Paul accepted to join Wesly and Geert as there regular videographer for the upcoming team. Wesly had found two new candidates to join the team, everything was looking promising. Even with the two new candidates in line Paul and Wesly asked Luuk whether he was sure about leaving the team. Positively affected by the nationals his answer was that if they still wanted him on the team he was ready to commit himself for 100%. However since there were two other candidates he understood that he was on the alternate position at this point. After a few months it became clear that because of personal reasons one of the candidates dropped off. The other candidate Bart was ready to commit. Luuk left the alternate position and finally, a new team was born.
During the Skydive Flanders Boogie at DZ Moorsele we made our first jump as a team, it felt good, it went good.we were 100% ready to team up and fly!!! Because of a remark made by Bart (since he had been partying all night) stating "we were probably too drunk too be dropped" our team name came to be.
Then in 2009 our plans just flew away! Geert went out of the team and stopt skydiving for a while because of personal reasons. Shortly after that Luuk told us he was going to buy a house with his girlfriend and that he was going to quit. Yet another setback since we just found a replacement for Geert. Marc joined the team to help us out with the teamjumps we still had. Luuk kept jumping with us but we were allready looking for a replacement and then someone told us to ask Sabine. A former teammate of Marc and former Diva! We asked.. She said oké!
Now its 2010 and we got our team togheter! We allready did some tunnel training and there is lots to come this winter. After the winter our plans are to train and compete in triple A. For Bart and Wesly this is all brand new and we have a looong way to go... But with Roy from Hayabusa coaching us we think it will go a lot faster :-)
